Alongside this, students receiving the Santander Scholarship are Laurence Blair for an MA in International Law and International Relations and Gea Maimouna Seraphina Ballmann for an MSc in International Management and International Relations. Both types of Scholarships are awarded for academic excellence and require an accompanying personal statement stating how their chosen course corresponds with their career plans. Furthermore the Santander scholarship requires students who apply to be graduating or to have graduated from a University associated with the banking group.
The awards ceremony for the JHB and Santander Scholarships, hosted by Professor John Raftery, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) will take place on Thursday 8th November 2012. Those invited to the ceremony include Associate Deans (Student Experience) who will be presenting the certificates for their faculties as well as scholarship administrators and representatives of Santander. This event will allow these talented students to celebrate their achievements before embarking on their postgraduate studies.
